The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) launched its 2022 Antarctic-related Fellowships for early-career researchers.
Following the recent launch of the Polar Initiative, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has funded an additional SCAR Fellowship and as a result SCAR will offer in total four to five Fellowships of up to USD 15,000 each for 2022.
The details for the SCAR scheme will be similar to previous years but with the opportunity for applicants to propose partly or entirely remote Fellowships to reflect the impact of COVID-19 related travel restrictions.
The deadline for the SCAR Fellowship applications is 31 August 2022.
Find out how to apply for the Fellowship here.
The SCAR Secretariat has compiled a list of frequently asked questions, where you can also find an overview of past and present SCAR Fellows.
