In this interview during the opening ceremony of IYBSSD, Zlatan Vasovic, member of the board of International Association of Physics Students, stressed the need for cooperation among international associations to promote basic sciences.
Bio-Physics
Find all the connections they’ve been missing in these past years and to be able to collaborate on this even more.
The field I am most interested in right now is bio physics. And I’ve done only one research so far in that field. But I’m interested in continuing my research there. And it’s closely related to what we heard today : the Sustainable Development. Bio Physics is essential field in order to achieve that.
What links can you make between your research and sustainable development?
My research in the future could very well be related to that. For example, any research idea, and any result that we get, it probably can be applied to reduce the, for example, carbon émissions, to reduce the pollution, to focus on this, on the Sustainable Development Goals.
What is your biggest wish for this year to come?
I really wish for the whole world to finally see how important it is. I hope we’ll get the promotion we need, we’ll get all the people to understand it. And what to expect not only from this year, but also from this évent, this opening ceremony, is : people who are in charge of the international association, in charge of international cooperation, to find all the connections they’ve been missing in these past years and to be able to collaborate on this even more.
