The Minafin group, a leader in the development and production of fine chemicals, and the French Academy of Sciences, have announced the launch of the Minafin prize.
This prize, which will be awarded to a chemist during a solemn session at the Academy of Sciences, aims to reward advances in the field of organic chemistry that respects the environment, an important issue in relation with the efficiency of reactions, the recycling of waste, the use of biosourced materials, in order to reduce the carbon footprint.
This annual prize will be endowed with a reward of €5,000 and will be accompanied by an allowance to participate in a major international congress. Each year, it will honor a chemist who has been particularly active in the field of innovations linked to organic chemistry in harmony with sustainable development.
The winner may be a French or foreigner working in France or a Frenchman working in a foreign laboratory affiliated with a French structure (for example: CNRS, Inserm, etc.) .
