The Russian Academy of Sciences has signed an agreement with the Government of Sverdlovsk region to build a ‘Science City’ in Yekaterinburg, reports Abdulsalam MAHMUD.
President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Sergeev, has paid a working visit to Yekaterinburg.
During his visit, Sergeev, was acquainted with the plan to create a Science City on the territory of Akademichesky district in Yekaterinburg.
He subsequently signed an agreement between the Government of Sverdlovsk Region and his Russian Academy of Sciences for the ‘mega project’.
Sergeev was informed about the integrated development of Akademichesky territory during a visit to Yekaterinburg school No. 16, where a model of the district was installed.
The President of the Russian Academy of Sciences was also told about the interaction of educational organizations in Academic District with the Ural Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, and about the formation of the ‘Science City’ structure.
