Organized in collaboration with Zhejiang University, in China, the UNESCO-TWAS Sixteenth General Conference will focus on basic sciences for sustainable development.
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Academy of Sciences (UNESCO-TWAS) will convene its ‘Sixteenth General Conference’, from 21–24 November 2022, for the second time in an all-virtual mode.
Host partner of the event will be Zhejiang University, one of the oldest Chinese universities, based in Hangzhou.
This year, the Conference’s theme is, “Basic Sciences for Evidence-Based Decision-Making and Sustainable Development in the Global South”.
The event will feature an awards ceremony, keynote lecture, symposia, and induction ceremony of newly-elected TWAS Fellows and Young Affiliates.
