As part of Taiwan’s effort to support the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development, IYBSSD2022, Future Earth Taipei and Taipei Hub have become IYBSSD promoters.
The Member States of the United Nations have agreed on ensuring a balanced, sustainable, and inclusive development of the planet through the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development (IYBSSD), organized in 2022, focuses on the links between basic sciences and the Sustainable Development Goals.
This is a unique and important opportunity to work with all stakeholders and demonstrate that through a basic understanding of nature, actions taken will be more effective for the common good.
Future Earth Taipei and Taipei Hub joined IYBSSD, and all upcoming domestic and international events up to June 2023 will be part of Taiwan’s effort to support IYBSSD aiming to promote exchanges between scientists and all categories of stakeholders, whether from grassroots communities or political decision-makers and international leaders, as well as associations, students, and local authorities.
