On the occasion of the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development, the Natural Science and Engineering Council of Canada and the Fonds de recherche du Quebec, organized the special edition of the Science Action! Video Contest.
According to Alejandro Adem, President NSERC, explained that the contest challenges members of the research to discover how science and engineering contributes to our understanding of the world and universe around us, by documenting the people, research and innovations that are transferring the way we live and work.
Also, Janice Bailey, Scientific Director, Front, participants submitted a one-minute video. All video submissions highlighted the benefits of research in the fields of natural sciences an engineering, by making the connections between basic sciences and the Sustainable Development Goals.
