The Global Young Academy (GYA) gathers 200 young scientists from all over the world (each member is elected for a 5 years period). They are all selected because they are brilliant scientists, but also because they want to enhance the role of science on the planet.
Their programme is then totally coherent with IYBSSD 2022, and that is why GYA decided to support IYBSSD 2022 and to become part of its International Advisory Committee.
As an exemple of their actions, watch this short video where Thomas Edison de la Cruz, a microbiologist from the Philippines, tells about his passion for bringing kids on the path of science. Especially, he is currently the co-leader of the Expedition Mundus project, that aims to produce a board game where high school students experiment the scientific method in collaboration with others.
