The Chinese Chemical Society, while celebrating its 90th Anniversary organized “Chemist is Cool Research Group Style and Creativity Competition” for universities and research institutes in China.
In order to demonstrate the positive spirit of China’s chemical science and technology workers, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Chemical Society, the Society held the “Celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the Chinese Chemical Society: Chemist is Cool Research Group Style and Creativity Competition“.
Photos from 78 varsities, institutes
The competition lasted for half a year, and the competition schedule included such links as entry registration, sharing and praise collection, and creative review. We received group photos of 108 research groups from 78 universities and research institutes across the country.
After the evaluation organized by the society, 10 research groups including He Qing’s research group from Hunan University were selected to win the highest award in the competition – the Gold Award for the Hyun Cool research group, and 90 research groups including Wu Wenjuan’s research group from Nanjing Forestry University won the Silver Award for the Hyun Cool research group. The award ceremony will be held at an optional date in 2023.
As one of the important activities, the competition was included in the special exhibition of the International Year of Basic Science for Sustainable Development.
