Science for Sustainable Development: Challenges for Central Asia
The International Symposium “Science for Sustainable Development: Challenges for Central Asia” is a two-day event dedicated to the issues of education for sustainable development and the integration of the countries of the Central Asian region into the Sustainable Development Agenda, advanced research in the field of green chemistry and rational use of natural resources.
The symposium is designed to highlight the contribution of fundamental research and education to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the important role of the countries of the Central Asian region in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda.
The program of the symposium includes plenary sessions, round tables, lectures, as well as a number of educational events for students and schoolchildren.
– On the first day of the symposium, an awards ceremony will be held for the winners of the Green Chemistry for Life program, which is implemented by UNESCO jointly with PhosAgro and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
– On the second day, the International School-Symposium for students and young scientists “Green Chemistry as a tool for sustainable development” will be held.
Representatives of government agencies, scientific and public organizations and interested companies, leading researchers in the field of green chemistry and sustainable development, representatives of UNESCO, IUPAC, the organizing committee the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development, authorities and innovative companies are invited to participate in the symposium.
