National Convention on Chemistry Teachers
The Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT) serves as an apex national body of chemistry educators to promote excellence in chemistry education. It has been a major source of strength and support for the association, forging strong partnerships between academia, industry, and research centres for mutual benefit at regional and national level.
The ACT has a flagship program, titled as National Convention of Chemistry Teachers (NCCT) which provides a platform for chemistry teachers and all science enthusiasts from different parts of the country to gather and share their experiences, ideas, and innovations in the field of chemistry education for better teaching-learning practices.
The primary goal of NCCT is to improve the quality of teaching and learning by integrating cutting-edge technologies and the best pedagogical practices in chemistry.
As GUJCOST is working for the S&T promotion, awareness, education, research and development through its various programs and outreach activities across the state. This program will strengthen the teaching and learning of chemistry and chemical sciences via NCCT among students and teachers and also encourages students to take part in Chemistry/Science Olympiads. This program will also demonstrate the role of chemistry in everyday life for sustainable development.
This three-day program will consist of lectures by eminent experts, demonstrations of innovative teaching methods and experiments, paper presentations by participants, and followed by an award ceremony.
