The “2023 Chemistry National Meeting”, held from March 10th to 12th at the National University of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, centered around the theme “A New Era in Chemistry – Sustainable Development.” Under the auspices of CSLT, the conference’s agenda saw the inaugural collaboration among the National University of Kaohsiung, the National Science Council’s Chemistry Division, and its Research and Development Center for Nature and Sustainability.

TThe conference aimed to facilitate extensive exchanges and discussions of expertise in the field of chemistry, providing a platform for absorbing new knowledge, self-expression, and community building. It aimed to spark innovative and original ideas, while promoting interaction among academia, industry, and government,  fostering collaborative opportunities towards achieving sustainable development goals. The program included the presentation of awards to recognize outstanding talents, keynote speeches, specialized parallel academic seminars, poster presentations, forums on net-zero and circular economy, green chemistry, and chemical education, respectively. The program also included a technical lecture by TSMC, special career advancement talks, a meetup for female scientists, an exhibition of books, instruments, test chemicals, and consumables, as well as an industry talent recruitment briefing.
