Tsukuba Conference 2023 – Basic Science for SDGs, Perspectives from Global South: SDG12; Responsible Production and Consumption
The year 2022-23 is the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development (IYBSSD) designated by the United Nations. Domestic and international discussions are actively underway on the role of basic sciences in contributing to the development of a sustainable society.
In this session, Professor Marian Asantewah Nkansah of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, (KNUST), Ghana, the member of IYBSSD Executive Board, will introduce the activities of the IYBSSD and discuss on “necessity of dialogue between north and south” from the viewpoint of her expertise in environmental chemistry.
