Students and faculty members of IISER Kolkata would interact through the day with members of the public, performing live experiments and explaining science in a simple language.

Exhibits and demonstrations will be set up by all the five major departments of the Institute.

There will be a thrust on the basic sciences, and how they can be used to tackle problems like climate change, biodiversity loss, food scarcity, etc. The primary aim of the program is communicating science to the genera public, especially young children.
