Fundamental Life Science meets Climate, Environment and Sustainability – Science Summit
Basic research studies that are transdisciplinary in nature, create partnerships across the life sciences, social sciences, and environmental sciences and can greatly accelerate our transition to a more sustainable world. To support such collaborations, we need the support of policymakers, science funding leaders, universities, and those in government.
In 2023, HFSP aims to be the first organization to bring together and support these disparate science communities, by organizing a Science Summit and a Scientific Symposium titled “Fundamental Life Science meets Climate, Environment and Sustainability: new bridges, new partnerships, new opportunities” in Paris.
HFSP is partnering with a diverse array of organizations to organize the Science Summit and the Scientific Symposium to make the fullest possible use of cross-cutting initiatives. The HFSP Science Summit will unite scientists, science funders, policymakers and politicians from different scientific fields to connect basic life science and climate, environment and sustainability science to harness new opportunities.
