Wang Zhigang studied management science and engineering in Tsinghua University, School of Economics and Management, and obtained a Doctor of Management degree.
As a senior engineer, he has long been engaged in scientific research and research management in electronic information systems, software and simulation, reliability and systems engineering.
Having held key positions in research institutes and large state-owned enterprises, Minister Wang is not only familiar with scientific research and technology management, but also economics and business management. Wang has taken the lead and participated in a number of key tasks in his capacity as Vice Chair of the National Leading Group for Reforming the Science and Technology Management System and Building a National Innovation System, and Head of the Leading Group’s Office.
