The global climate crisis is a pressing issue that we are currently facing, primarily due to the increasing levels of greenhouse gases caused by human-generated emissions. However, our understanding of greenhouse gas dynamics is still insufficient, which adds to the uncertainty surrounding future climate predictions.
In this presentation, Jinho Ahn, from Seoul National University, will demonstrate the connection between greenhouse gases and climate by analyzing ancient air samples trapped in ice cores from polar regions.
Specifically, he will compare the current levels of greenhouse gases with those found naturally, and discuss their potential implications for the future of greenhouse gases and the overall global environment.
