Tea Time Talks on Basic Sciences, Education & Sustainable Development
The event will consist in two (2) public conference talks, provided by internationally recognized experts from France and Thailand, showing links between biology and mathematics. Hence, we propose the following topics:
- Prof. Krailas Duangduen (Silpakorn university, Thailand): Are snails our good friends? A short story of snail-borne diseases.
- Prof. Youcef Mammeri (University of Picardie, France): How can mathematics be useful for ecology.
The talks will be followed by a round-table discussion on Doing your study abroad, with testimony of PhD students, and the presence of:
- Olga Gil Medrano, IMU-CDC Secretary of Policies;
- Lidia Fernandez, CIMPA scientific officer;
- Joaquim Correia, Head of the e-season network.
