<p>A CSIR Career Day, which will take place on 3 August 2022 at the CSIR ICC, comprising a series of presentations, motivational talks, exhibitions and science demonstrations designed to encourage grade 9 to 11 learners to pursue careers in STEMI.</p>
<p>The CSIR CEO will formally welcome all the learners, this will be followed by career talks delivered by a mining engineer, finance manager, microbiologist, etc.</p>
<p>One of the science demonstrations the learners will be exposed to is on blending waste vegetables to produce manure that is non-malodourous, while showing how to process the same food waste into a digester to release gas and produce fertiliser. This is a basic application learners can practice at home to contribute to sustainable development.</p>
