In order to demonstrate the positive spirit of chemistry scientists and to highlight the chemistry, a basic science, the Chinese Chemical Society held the “Chemist is Cool” event.

The research group is the most basic unit to carry out scientific research. Whether it is a few people, dozens of people to hundreds of people, each research group is promoting the development of science and technology through unremitting exploration, continuous innovation and eternal inheritance. This event takes the research group as the registration unit, and focuses on the daily teaching and research of teachers, students, laboratories, etc., through creative, humorous and artistic group photos of the research group, to show the appearance of chemical science workers in an interesting way. All photos with descriptions will be demonstrated to the get “LIKE” or “SHARE” by the public.

Through direct photo show of the research group, such as the chemists’/students’ scientific research work or daily teaching/life, the public will better understand chemistry, and change the misunderstanding of chemistry. People will know what chemists/students do in daily life, and their contributions to the SDGs. This event will show the most basic, common, and front-line work of research group.
