Celebration of National Energy Conservation Day
Every year on December 14th, Energy Conservation Day is observed in India to raise awareness about the necessity of conserving energy. The major goal is to get people to learn how to use energy efficiently. Different themes emphasizing energy requirements and efficiencies are released every year.
In view of the above, Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) is organizing an outreach program on National Energy Conservation Day during 14-17th December 2022 at Gujarat Science City, Ahmedabad in the collaboration with Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Climate Change Department, Govt. of Gujarat.
The Regional Science Centres will continue the program from 15th to 17th December 2022 with expert talks and competitions on the theme of Energy Conservation.
Each of the Regional Science Centres and Community Science Centres will conduct the energy awareness workshops and interactive sessions in their respective districts of the State. The Centres will also live telecast the popular energy talk and the interactive sessions.
This program will be participated by more than 50,000 students, teachers and science communicators across the State that will also be highlighted on print, electronic and social media appropriately.
